All of us are at peace now that she has earned her angel wings. Deb was with her family/friends all day yesterday comforting her as she continued to lose strength. I got to sleep with her last night with her bed next to mine holding her precious hand as we slept. It was just a few minutes before midnight of Thursday (02/26/09) when our beautiful Deb took her last breath while in the total comfort of our wonderful home. She was so peaceful and we all took great comfort in knowing that she acknowledged that we loved her dearly and was ok for her to move on because all her loved ones were going to be ok.
It has been 7 months to this day and we are all comforted to know that we did all that we set out to do with Deb’s journey. Deb you have made the journey so easy for all of us to care for you.
Our heartfelt thank you goes out to all of you. You have been part of an incredible team of loving support that got us this far thru Deb’s challenging journey. We will never forget.

In Lieu of Flowers
Because one of Deb’s greatest joys in life was her love for books, we would graciously ask that if you wanted to send flowers to instead submit donation to Deb’s school library at Keheley Elementary where she taught for over 15 years. Deb had a true gift of teaching her students to read and I think she would love to know that she was giving something back to the Keheley library for all students to enjoy. Please make checks payable to Keheley Elementary School and in the note line write Debra Dreyer Memorial. Donations may be mailed to the school at 1985 Kemp Rd., Marietta, GA 30066.
Sadly, we also lost our wonderful dog Saint Casey today. Deb I know you and Casey are walking thru the pearly gates with the warmest smiles looking down on us all.
Deb, you have been an extraordinary wife, mother, and friend. We love you so much Deb and we miss you already.
Love to all,
Rod

Deb - I will always remember you as my friend, co-worker and beautiful blonde angel. I can't picture without those blonde curls, big smile and robust laugh. I will miss you dearly, but I know you are free from sickness and watching over us all.
Love always,
Susan
I have just come across your blog so I haven't followed Deb's journey from the beginning, but I would still like to offer condolences and thoughts.
Peace with all of you.
Dear Rod, Taylor and Thomas,
We were saddened today around 2:30p.m. when we checked Debbie's Journal to find she went to her Lord last Thursday. We want you all to know that our prayers and sympathy go out to you and your family. We will see you all at her services on Sunday.

Rod.
My heart goes out to you in this time. Thank you for making me aware of the severity of MEN-1. Fortunately, I do not carry this gene but thanks to you, I will do everything I can in my future take the necessary precautions through testing etc. My surgery is scheulded for the end of March to remove the one parathyroid gland.
May God be with you and your family. I know Deb was a gift to everyone that must have known her.

Dear Rod, Taylor and Tommy, May God give you comfort during this time. I loved Deb ...and through each room her laughter brings. Love, Connie Nesmith
Dear Rod, I am so sorry your beautiful and adored Ded has left you and the boys. i am glad her pain is over and she is at peace, and even has Casey with her to start her new journey. As a Mom and a wife, I will continue to think of you as you work through your new journey as a widow and guide your boys into manhood as a Dad. You are an exceptional person Rod, and although this is not an easy path you have to follow, I have no doubt you will do it with strenght and grace and love. Your losses over the past few years to cancer have been great, I know you must be numb. Just know that you have so many people sending you love and peace and power to use on the way. I am so sorry for your loss.
A Mom
Thank you so much for the Deb's school.
Also, have you thought of keeping your blog as a way to share the boys and your new journey?
Dear Rod, Taylor and Tommy,
Thank you so much for so generously sharing your precious angel with the rest of us over the past years. And thank you for taking the time to keep us informed and in touch with this blog. Your generosity of time and love is heart-felt and greatly appreciated. Our time with her was way too short. But the memories, legacy and love are quite bountiful!
With much love and sympathy,
Tara Mansfield
